Long, long time player of the browser version, mostly made a steam account to write this revew lolDid try the steam client to be fair i didn't have a problem, and i could use my old account so that was coolthis game is a fav or mine, for a card game with real straegy that isn't a re-skin of hearthstone theres so many cards here you can come up with a brand new type of deck all yourself and shock everyonemy problem with the old game was getting cards and trying to be a free player im getting back into it and happy to say getting new cards is way easy now and buying cards with money from fighting is really greatif you want to try something new and like card games try this. loading screen simulator with a "there was an internal problem" popup clicker game. Unplayable. Glad it was free because all you can do is start the game but nothing else*Edit* Tried it again after seeing a few fixes happened. Its an okay game right up until you win the match at which point you lose appears and you have to start over. Its a very unpolished untested game and still has little to recomend it.. Been playing Alteil since about 2009 or 2010? I forgot. Pretty good game, you can see your whole deck from the start and place them down being mindful of your SP curve and such things. It takes practice. Dont worry about RP and just smash faces in.Alteil Steam client is currently a work in progress but is working. Just if that sluggish response when i try to open discord while having steam client active at same time be gone will be great. And tidalwave isn't core. :3 Basically Tidalwave abuse got banned unless you're playing noncore :p Thus it gets a 4\/5 from me.. This game seems cool really but.. I just can't play this game, first of all I can't get it into full screen because there's like no option menu (maybe I missed it) and esc didn't work either. The music is really cool though.. besides that when you enter the turtorial it seems like the music is so off it sounds as if there are two songs playing, that they're both dominant on different sides on my headset doesn't help at all (no there's nothing wrong with my headset). The text slide is amazing.. but the text keeps teleporting up instead of sliding. I don't have these problems with any other games or songs.Great game and I'd love to play it.. but I just can't stand it sorry.But I'd definatly recomend trying this out it looks amazing.. Great game! but has shortcomings with technical issues. still better better on chrome at the moment for me.. I am a long time player with hundreds of hours in Alteil and can never get tired of the deep tactical gameplay that Alteil. The best thing is that there is no random card drawing. This means that you have access to all 25 cards from the start(+5 Soul Skill cards) and thus do not have to pray to lady luck for the luck of the draw. You have full control over your deck and only need the level and resource requirements to play a card. It may sound odd if you come from other card games but it really works. You have to manage your resource points carefully, think about your opening, mid game and late game in almost a similar way you would in a strategy game. How P2W is Alteil?You can earn cards through treasure battles, fight money, leveling up etc but it does take time to get a full playset of certain cards to form a good deck. If you want to be able to make a lot of good decks you may want to spend some but it is still very possible to stay competitive with even the starter decks. Rarer cards are not necessarily stronger. There are ways to get specific cards - you can use "point cards" and turn them in for a card of your choice(the amount of point cards indicates what rarity you can turn them in for). There is also a marketplace for buying single cards and a cauldron where you use certain recipes and try to craft specific cards with them. Alteil is hard and has a learning curve so it is not for everyone. I recommend this if you can put in a bit of time to learn. I have played tons of card games, including Infinity Wars, Scrolls, Eternal and Hearthstone. But there is no card game that excites me as much as Alteil.. Well.. I played this game a lot when it was still a browser game. It's an amazing concept of card games, with a epic story and a lot of different characters with different skills. This is the good side. The bad side is that it's tough to do a competitive file against the many experienced users here, so you'll probably lose a lot before starting to get the hang of the things. And you mostly need money to buy cards or try really hard to get cards free through lottery and free gram (the money of the game) that you earn here. They are improving the game which options which you can buy cards with the free money you earn every battle, so that's a good improvement. Otherwise, amazing game.. Tutorial portrays the game as AI stacked and unfair. Whether or not this is reflective of the rest of the game, I'd say hold off until they implement a better tutorial.
